Classic Crossing

This is the main option

A 4 or 5 day trek that climbs the highest peak in Catalonia and Ariège: the Pica d’Estats of 3143 m, the Certascan peak of 2853 m, the Pointe Recou and the Roca Cigalera of 2667 m.

Do you want to do a magnificent beginner’s trek?

A 3 or 4 day trek that climbs the 2853 m Certascan peak. In just one day we will discover 11 magnificent lakes.

La Porta i Muntanyes

Do you want to do the Muntanyes de Llibertat and La Porta del Cel trek?

7-day trek for the most demanding mountaineers, who will be able to connect these 2 treks without repeating stages.

Information for booking the classic crossing

The cost per person in 2026 to do the classic route with half board in 4 refuges with a reciprocity is €243,10. Without discount it is €280,10. To confirm the reservation you will need to make a payment in this case of €105, the rest you will pay at the refuges.

Having a picnic at the 4 refuges should add €56,50 more.

It is advisable to sleep one more night to rest on the return trip. We have special prices at the hotel in Tavascan.

  • The 2025 season is from May 31 to September 30.
  • Crampons may be needed until July 15th or even until the end of the month.
  • Although the route is marked with paint, it is advisable to bring a GPS in addition to the map. In fog it is essential!!!
  • The stages are long and it is advisable to sleep in all the refuges. We can also book you a hotel at the beginning and/or end of the journey.
  • It is advisable to make the trip to Tavascan and on the same day, after lunch or in the afternoon, go up to have dinner and sleep in Graus.
  • If you are not a member, you can take out accident insurance with us. It costs €25 for the days of the crossing.
  • If you have an alpine club card with a discount at a refuge, you must carry it during the trek in addition to your ID card to show if asked.
  • You must bring cash to make the payment pending at the shelters. They only accept credit cards at the hotels, in Graus and Vallferrera.
